TOUR – A Time-Out/Travel Project
Maximum Duration: 3 Months | For Young People From 12 Years Up:
TOUR is designed for young people aged 12 to 18 who are either experiencing acute crises, facing seemingly hopeless situations, or already living in residential care but need new impulses for their personal development.
This programme offers a temporary stay in Portugal, providing a calm environment and a structured educational approach to help stabilise behaviour.
During their stay, young people work alongside educational staff to identify the triggers of their problematic behaviour, recognise their strengths, and explore possible solutions.
The TOUR programme creates time and space for thorough educational planning and the search for appropriate support measures.
The main goal of TOUR is to temporarily remove young people from their stressful social environment and place them in a low-stimulation setting, allowing them to process their crises in a more neutral space. Accommodation takes place either in one of our intensive pedagogical-therapeutic living groups or in an intensive social-pedagogical individual setting, combined with a travel project such as a hiking or cycling. These fixed locations serve as a base for the travel experience, as well as for preparation and follow-up.
